A narrative film for an interactive object - a black mirror that connects digital reflections of a landscape with the actual reflections of the viewer. Each minute the scenic landscape changes, showing the minute shifts of light and conditions throughout the day. Turning the object clockwise speeds up time into night and the next day; turning it back reverses time.
The object itself is inspired by the 18th century Claude glass - a small black pocket mirror used by artists and tourists to frame and transform the world into a picturesque, painterly view, named after landscape painter Claude Lorrain. This version augments that idea with contemporary tools, inviting the viewer to experience alternate seasons and their distinct qualities.
I handled sound design, voice over recording and mix for the accompanying narrative film.
